INGROWN TOENAILS

If required, we can perform a procedure on ingrown toenails called a partial or total nail avulsion. This will permanently remove the offending section of nail. We need to carry out an initial consultation so that we can view the ingrown nail and assess its' severity. We will also ask some important questions regarding your medical history and assess the affected toenail to make sure that it will be safe to perform this procedure. If our podiatrists are happy to go ahead, a separate booking will be made for the surgery.

  • Initial Toenail + Skin Care - 30mins - $90 required before surgery

  • Ingrown nail surgery starting from $410 (includes the prescription cost of Sodium hydroxide + 2x follow up dressing change appointments) + $55 for any additional borders

  • ACC Ingrown nail surgery starting from: $310 (including prescription cost of Sodium Hydroxide + 2x follow up dressing changes) + $55 for any additional borders

BIOMECHANICAL TREATMENTS

Our experienced podiatrists provide biomechanical (BMX) assessment for a range of lower limb conditions. They begin with visual examination of the effected area then proceed into feeling the area to try and reproduce the pain. Then joint range of motion and ligament integrity is assessed, while muscle strength and flexibility in the lower limbs and feet are checked. Additionally, our podiatrists evaluate how you walk, run and your positioning while performing certain tasks or movements. From our BMX assessment we are able to propose a condition/s or injuries. Prescribe appropriate exercises, pre-fabricated or customised orthotics, issue footwear, and give footwear recommendations.

Initial BMX Appointment - 45 mins - $120

BMX Review - 30 mins - $50

Initial ACC BMX Appointment - 45mins - $70 Surcharge

ACC BMX Review - 30mins - $40 Surcharge

ORTHOTICS

Orthotics are inserts that we incorporate into footwear. They are customised medical devices, made from different types of foams and plastics, that our podiatrists use to treat and manage foot/ankle/lower limbs injuries/conditions. They are very useful in redistributing load. This means we can also use orthotics to help manage callous and corn formation. Both pre-fab and customised orthotics are a very useful adjunct in our treatment plans when used in conjunction with the correct footwear.

The following are estimates and your orthotic price will always be discussed with you before it is dispensed to you:

Pre-fab orthotics from $80 - They can increase to between $150 - $250

Custom orthotics start at $410 and increase as more features and materials are added

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations made within 3 hours of the appointment or no shows, will be charged $15. We appreciate your co-operation in paying this before your next appointment is booked.
